If we beat Forest

If we beat Forest on Saturday then we will need 11 points from 15 games to secure the magic 50 points that people are on about. I would suggest that with Rotherham, Coventry, Stoke and Leeds to play away and Millwall, West Ham, Reading and Leicester to play at home this could be a bit of a challenge.

We deffo need to beat Derby and Sunderland at home (which I think we will) and then take five points off the rest. But who will it be?

We are a VERY long way from survival at the moment.

We have played all (after Sat) of the bottom seven at home and have played all of the top sevenm away. If only we hadn't screwed up both times against Crewe.

Leeds, Coventry and Cardiff away are MASSIVE. Anything more than four points from those three games and we can really start to breathe easy.

Come on the Albion!!!!

The difference this season to the last one in this division is that we are taking the points off of our rivals at the bottom this season.

Last time we dropped points to most of them.

We also play Plymouth away, which is a game we should now be targeting. But I agree, it could still be a white-knuckle ride, particularly if we feck up next week, which is a near-certainty given the hopes we are raising at the moment :jester:

We can beat Forest if we play as well as we have done in the previous two games.

Forest are a strange side. They appear to have been very unlucky in their recent games against West Ham, Sunderland and Millwall, they beat Stoke and QPR, but they were absolutely woeful against us a couple of weeks ago. They really did look like relegation certainties that day.

If it makes things any better, I've not seen us win a game since the play-off final, and I'm going to the Forest game. :jester:

That's it. I'm going to stand outside the turnstiles and physically stop you going in. :lolol:

Cant see us beating forest, but they do have a very poor record v the bottom half sides.

However, if we do cant see them catching us up

We were pretty lucky in that game though. As I remember Michel made an amazing save that day. Also their finishing was poor. However, DC missed an amazing chance too so it's swings and roundabouts.

If we can keep them at arm's length we can do them. If we do them they will find it very hard to catch us.

My route to 50 points:-

6 points from Nottm Forest & Leicester at home.
3 points from Rotherham away.
5 points from Cardiff, Coventry, Plymouth, Leeds & Stoke away.

Lose against Ipswich, Wigan, Sunderland, Reading, Millwall, West Ham and Derby at home (just to keep the Withdean moaners happy).

Lose against Preston and Burnley away.

We could survive with 47 points - although I wouldn't want to depend on that.

I think we will stay up.

If we can beat Sheffield Utd away then why shouldnt we get some more points on the road?

I think the key could be our home form. I fully expect us to peform better at home against the top teams because it suits our style of play more.

When we play crap teams at home the emphasis is on us to attack and that is when we have been exposed and beaten, like Crewe at home.

When we have played away at good teams we have our backs to the wall, work hard and hit teams on the break, like West Ham away and Sheffield Utd. THAT is when we are at our best.

I expect us to finish lower mid table.

Also, Leeds and Forest could go into administation and lose ten points each.

Well said Marshy.

NF played well yesterday against Millwall but, having said that...

WE are the in-form team! (Just ask Spurs and Sheff Utd) MM has created a playing style that suits us!

Let the other teams worry about us for a change!

Couldn't agree more.

Defensively we're difficult to break down at the moment. Combination of "cough" 'professionalism' from Mr Butters, and youthful graft from Messers Virgo & Hinshelwood.

In midfield, Chippy is looking much sharper (slice of humble pie being swallowed as I type), Oatway continues to astound me (pass me some more pie please), Reid is playing outstanding, and the rest all do a good job, be that Harding, Hard, Hammond or Nicolas.

LK is now looking very sharp, and McCammon is being such a nuisance to the opposition defence that LK is finally getting space.

Just need a decent manager:jester:
