By my reckoning, he will be the first current Albion player to be involved in a competitive England World Cup match for 30 years.

Am I right?

Is he likely to play then! Did Poland play the other night, I can't find any info on a Poland match.

Brighton and Hove Albion is his rather lower profile home and so it is understandable that Kuszczak should regard Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against England as an occasion when he will have a significant point to prove. “

Probably longer than that? It has to be Steve Penney back in 1988 which is only 24 years.

Meanwhile, name three Albion players that can have actually come on the pitch to play in World Cup Final matches?

Sub. Before the match the journo opinion that he had a one third chance of starting. I expect to be the same % against England.

Poland beats South Africa 1-0 in friendly - News | FOX Sports on MSN

The hosts had an early scare on Friday when goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton - a substitute-turned-stalwart who was Poland's penalty-saving hero at Euro 2012 - fumbled a winding free kick from Lerato Chabangu seven minutes into the match.
But the PSV Eindhoven stopper kept his cool and smothered the ball.

Am I the only one that would sooner have him have an outstanding game then England to score loads?

1982 Foster, 1986 Penny. I was going to say Armstrong but he joined after the 86 World Cup.

I'd take a 1-0 England with Kuszczak making dozens of world-class saves!
