I don't actually think that they will go,however if they did are there any set rules as to what happens to each division ? Would Grimsby get their place back ? That kind of thing.

RM,that does sound a bit odd.

It would seem odd, but I think it's the way the FA would work it.

Might be better to have 24 in Championship (re-instate Wednesday), 24 in League One (re-instate the Pikeys) and 22 in League Two just to make the numbers even though but this wouldn't happen.

not odd at all, if a team didnt perform over the season, why should they be saved by another club going out of business? why the team 3rd from bottom and not 2nd or bottom? theres also the knock on effect, does the team finishing second bottom of league 2 stay up because a team in Championship folds? that would be odd.

23 teams and arrange for additional promotions the following year.

Other football clubs would think twice about gambling (twice!!!!) for the big time and falling well short. They are a small club with very poor support due to the many other clubs in their area, they should have recognised this and competed within their means.

They and Portsmouth should reap the rewards of their shoddy ways. Bad fir the fans but good for football as a whole.

I'm quite happy to say that palace won't go bust, FACT.
The same with Pompey, the FA will never let a team in the top two divisions go bust.

Im not so sure....there are plenty of teams in the shit in the top 2 divisions in my opinion, the FA can't help them all, someone has to be the first to go.
And a club that dosent own there own ground will always be in trouble...

At the risk of repeating yourself I think that you are right.

If I had to bet on the outcome it would 100% be that they will scrape through and survive and go on to invest and compete as if nothing happened (again). It seems to be a well worn road for these clubs, almost a boardroom tactic.

The top divisions won't be immune for ever I guess but it won't happen anytime soon.

They won't go bust and I'm wondering if this is a Brighton board or a Palace one?

they'll start again at the bottom of the pyramid and take a few years to get back to league 2 ala aldershot/accrington

that's what'll happen
