With the transfer window now closed, I'm not sure if a new manager would be able to do much better than McGhee.

That is one argument but a new manager might have different tactical ideas and different man management techniques. In any case it is still possible to get players in on loan. When we had Liam Brady in charge I wonder how many players were encouraged to join us just because he was in charge.

Anyway suppose McGhee resigns rather than being sacked. People keep saying who is available to take over? Well here's the list...

We'd be on a slide that makes our current woes seem insignificant, imo. Not many managers seem to be able to successfully introduce youth team players into a side and that is all we have now. Coppell is a classic example. At all his recent clubs he has brought in the same bunch of players and not used the youth system at all. We can't
afford to go down that route. Getting rid of McGhee would be madness imo and I hope to f*** DK agrees with me :)

You forgot Ian Holloway; and he's on full pay until the end of the season.

How would i know?I'm pissed.
Personally, if and when MM leaves, i'd like to see Dean Wilkins as manager with Guy Butters as his assistant.

He could carry the clipboard with one hand and still eat pies with the other! Think he'd like that job! :lolol:

He'll find out at the sponsors dinner.
I'll be at a different table but watching to see whether Ernest has got the bottle.
