This is a big IF!!!!

If Leon leaves us after the 2 month loan, could we recover? We need him more than ever, and I would be very worried should he leave after the loan spell.

What does everyone else think? Any news on the grapevine if he's leaving or staying? Could we replace him?

I reckon Coppell will make sure that he gets plenty of warning if Knight is going to leave and he'll get straight back into the transfer market and pick up another loanee.

I think either we will sign him up come the end of his loan, or Chelsea will loan him out for the rest of the season. More likely the latter.

I find it hard to believe that he won't be with us for the rest of the season. After 3 months playing in a settled side challenging at the top of the league (hopefully), he's not going to go unless a side comes in with significantly more to offer. Normally that side would be Reading, but they've got The Goat (and Darius amongst others). If he's happy, I'm sre he'll stay here for the season and beyond.

Whilst I'm concerned we'll lose him after 3 months to another club with more money (Div 1 could always come calling!), hopefully he'll settle in and want to help our cause.

I DOUBT BRIGHTON COULD MATCH ANYWHERE NEAR HIS CURRENT WAGES AT CHELSEA. ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG HE HAS LEFT ON HIS CURRENT CONTRACT?

i really doubt he would be on that much at chelsea

Fot the last two season Knight has been out on long term loan to Huddersfield and then Sheffield Wednesday.

I think the two month limit was put in place by Coppell to weigh up his ability rather than Chelsea

I think we could afford his wages, I really dont see him being on that much money at Chelsea. Give him a half decent offer and he will come i reckon, as long as Chelsea dont want a fee.

Hope it doesn't happen but IF Leon leaves SC will be out there wheeling and dealing again. No question.

Remember it's a 2 way thing. Not only will LK be good for us, but we are good for him!
