[Albion] If it is top 5 for Champions League, then will it be top 8 for Europe?

So seems quite likely England will be one of two countries to get an extra team in the Champions League. Man City winning it again would probably ensure that I think.

Does that then still mean two in Europa, and one in the Conference, meaning top 8 in Europe next season?

Nearly half the league qualifying for Europe is mad. Great for teams like us, obviously, but objectively it’s mad.

Nope just EUFA milking football fans for as much as they can.

I think it stemmed from the attempted ESL. To appease the bigger European clubs, UEFA are expanding the CL and its payouts rise by 40%. The (possibly) Top PL 5 this season, will have an even greater income advantage in 2024/25 over the 15 other PL clubs.

Much prefered when these competitions were for the champions and cup winners. All about money now. These managers that go on about no of games should cricticise no of Europe games not domestic ones

Well finishing

Well finishing 7th or 8th for us would not be mediocre it wouod be quite an achievement again so fingers crossed.
For us it would be a great achievement but in the context of the league finishing 8th out of 20 is hardly deserving of Europe. It’s getting nearer to European leagues by stealth where if you finish above Palace you’ll probably qualify

Interesting little fact from this DULLARD

Six of the last seven clubs Albion have played have won major European finals, except for Fulham who were runners up once in the Europa League.
