I’d add that, like it or not, good defences tend to win the Euros. Portugal, Greece, Italy. Even the great Spain sides didn’t concede many (largely because they didn’t let the opposition have the ball)
Good defences always rules. That’s why RDZ will never win a title, maybe except a cup title somewhere.

I guess I’m in a minority here ( and everywhere else) but I think a team that often win 1-0 is better than one that wins by 3-2. It’s not as fun to watch but it’ s the points that counts.

Everyone hated the italians in the 80’s, in the European cups, 0-0 away and a 1-0 at home. I honestly loved it!

Are there principles in this game of ours?
Maybe playing styles but when it comes to cold hard cash many individuals principles are nowhere to be seen.
And surely it should all be about "coaching ability"
Nope, all about principles for me.
Potter could have us top 8 consistently and challenging for cups every season.
My ticket will be listed on the exchange regardless.
And before anyone calls bullshit on that, I am willing to give £100 to a charity of their choice if anyone sees me at the AMEX if Potter comes back.
I will never forget the way he left or the comments he made afterwards.

Fortunately, I still don't think he is being considered...

For what it is worth, I was unhappy with RDZ towards the end also for holding the club to ransom with regards backing although I could (kind of) understand why.
I just think he went the wrong way about it

Why has he gone somewhere?
I don't think so, but seeing as Potter is a free agent then if he was going to be reappointed then it'd have been sorted by now, surely? There's been absolutely nothing to suggest this is happening - and it's usually very hard for clubs to prevent leaks - and he's been replaced as favourite on the betting exchanges by Henrik Rydstrom.

That's a stretch. He's fallen to 5/1 in some markets with Potter still clear favourite. But what do they really know? This really is a strange situation to be in, if we're actually holding out for Potter who is holding out for England.

Guarantee he will with a decent squad you only have to look at what he did with us. He plays a percentage game far more wins than losses. If we had gone to Roma with Mitoma/March/Pedro different game they aren’t going to be so adventurous.

Isn’t that my point? People keep saying if it wasn’t for Potty we would have got into Europe. It’s not that simple.
Yes, it is. Chris Hughton, Graham Potter, and Roberto De Zerbi were all instrumental in Brighton & Hove Albion's Premier League rise to European qualification.

Most Albion fans would completely back him should he return. After a decent run of form, and particularly after a decent season, he should have the backing of 99.9% of the fans.
Remember Roberto asking us to welcome back Caicedo rather than boo him on his return after throwing a strop.? We did as we were told and he got cheered from the rafters. Bloom could do the same with Potter !!🙂

Caicedo was booed incessantly in our most recent game at the Amex.

He's joint favourite on the exchanges, as in Betfair, which is a bit more dynamic than the standard bookies' odds. Although admittedly without much market depth it doesn't take much to shift odds.
