What’s that got to do with this thread disappearing?

And no. I need to be there to boo.

Says it all, not an Albion fan but more a Potter hater. How sad is that?

What sort of **** boos their manager?

I really hope that you are trying to be a comedian.

We’ll never find out though because it’s not going to happen.

I meant no one will get to see Potter do well at Brighton as they have all proclaimed to not go to any matches whilst he is in charge :lolol:
Fair enough. The post you replied to said “this thread”.

Most people will go and Potter will get a history lesson.

Still don’t reckon it’s happening. Naylor will write whatever the club wants for whatever reason.

Has Potter been covertly shagging everyone's missuses?!

As far as I'm aware he's done nothing to deserve this such impassioned, relentless vitriol?!
Apart from the constant digs at us as fans when he was our manager, then leaving for the first big club that batted their eyelashes at him and took the entire coaching staff with him, leaving us completely in the lurch mid-season, then continuing to make comments negatively about us after he left? That’s before we even get to the indifferent performances on the pitch during his tenure.

You might be prepared to overlook all of that. Many of us aren’t.

One that knows the manager disrespected the club and its fans.

I assume you weren’t there for Brighton vs Millwall 2014 when the fans turned on Hyppia? I assume most of the fans in that night were also not proper Albion fans according to you?

Rewriting history a bit there mate. Utterly bizarre.

Quote THREE 'digs' at us he made while he was here, so that we can assess them and realise that he didn't just spit on our grandparents graves.

In addition, leaving for a top 6 team offering him five times the wage and ten times the transfer budget is hardly 'flutting their eye lashes'. It's literally making him an offer that ANY manager in his position would take.

Just accept the simple fact that people were very upset in the manner of his departure and all that went on associated with it. We are free to dislike the thought of his return. And your fantasies are honestly either a wind-up or something strange as there is no credible evidence that he's returning, nor any likelihood. Until he is appointed as our manager or we appoint someone else, leave the pretence alone if you are upset that posters are in disagreement with your 'views'.

I booed Hyypia I’m afraid, he was crap. What makes you such a great Albion fan for not booing? This is all becoming a little bit, I’m a better fan than you, etc.

Nope, I had had enough and chose not to go. Maybe I am not an Albion fan, but booing a manager who did well for us, if he is re appointed is not quite the same is it?

I am 100% not better than fans like you, and I don’t mean that facetiously

This 20/21 squad finished 16th under Potter. It was filled with quality.

Sanchez
Veltman Webster Burn White Lamptey Dunk
March Lallana Gross Bissouma Mac Allister
Trossard Welbeck Maupay
1. First and foremost that wasn't the starting point. We're not better/more promising than we were in 2021, but we're certainly better/more promising than when Potter took over back in 2019.

2. Not many in here at the time thought that Burn and Maupay was anything but horseshit so bringing them up now is quite funny.

3. The team was indeed excellent and performed amazingly well, which is why its the best ever Albion team (61 pts) according to metrics (expected points) that you may not give a shit but that Tony most certainly found very impressive and knew eventually would result in... well, results. Thats how expected points usually work out over time with a young squad if you develop it well. Probably going to be the same now - If things work out as they should, we should get ca 55 points next season.

4. Many of these players were young and not who they are today. Thats the thing with player development, something that seems to awfully difficult to understand. Mac Allister in 2020 was a skinny lad who would disappear from games. From the beginning of 2022, the Everton game, he was a man ready to carry. Things take time.

5. Thats 15 yeah, and when we go outside of those 15, and when we get those players is when we see why we're in a more promising seat now.
Now we just need to find a manager who is willing to help these players reach their potential. Preferably someone who doesn't make Ansu Fati look like Andi Zeqiri.

Yeah, but I absolutely love De Zerbi when he “lost motivation” halfway through the season - when he had decided to leave the club. Even better when he criticised the owners!

Good riddance to Potter when he brought the club from 15th to 9th. He had no influence in where we are today, it was the brilliant De Zerbi who did that!
