If Gannon became available after the season should we approach him for a THIRD time, re-employ Russell Slade or advertise the job again?

We already know Gannon's not that keen to come here. We've got enough bloody players who don't want to play for us, without having a manager that feels the same way.

Anyway, just because Slade hasn't worked the miracle, it doesn't mean he isn't OK - and he has a good record in the lower divisions. So long as he gets the go-ahead for a summer clear out, I'm happy to stick with him (I suspect if he's not allowed a summer clear out he'll be offski anyway).

Gannon has done pants since turning us down and slade aint no great shakes.........im kinda fed up, cant make my mind up if slade pulls it off he has to stay full stop. If he does not, well i think there maybe a board room shuffle and that may determine if slade goes....Bollox its not even worth writing what im writing.....who feckin knows and to be honest im getting past caring this season...................pass me a bottle of jack please

I hope it is none of the 3 options.

Dont want Gannon as he didnt want to join us and if he did it would be an after thought.
Do not think Slade is the answer.
Would hope the board have a target to go after rather than advertise again.

Gannon would be heaps better than Slade.

Gannon might re-consider in the summer as Stockport dont have any dosh , if he did become the new manager he would insist on his own coaches to replace the dynamic duo , which DK would concede to.

f*** Gannon. He turned us down once. He's not all that in any case. Don't give the c_unt ideas above his station and let him think he'd be doing us any kind of favour. f*** The Stockport Family, let them rot there.

He's turned us down twice whilst managing a club that seems to have insurmountable problems that were always going to get worse. I don't think we should even consider approaching him again personally

Very good point. After all, McNulty turned us down first of all and now, after about half a dozen games is a hero (justifiably).

Some people need a reality check. Even if we stay up and re advertise the position, who is going to apply. Certainly not the likes of Ince or Pardew who see themselves as probably championship managers at the very least. We will just get the same old failures re applying. If we stay up then Slade should at least be giving a rolling one year contract. If he fails next year, we can get rid of him cheaply. Personally, given time, I think he will succeed.

Shouldn't even be given another thought. He turned us down twice, and basically used us make public the mess Stockport were in, and what a 'hero' he was for staying there under those circumstamces.

Don't know why people would still want to chase after a manager who clearly doesn't want to be here.

I think Slade is the right man for the job whatever division we are in next season. If we let him build his own team he will do well for us.
