No, to be fair to him, he was meant to be introducing Elton about ten minutes ago, and he's still not ready. What would you do if you were stuck, unprepared, in the middle of Wembley Stadium in front of 65,000 people?

Run through some of a routine you've performed hundreds of times before because you're supposed to be a 'professional' comic? ??? :tosser:

I thought he was funny and kept it together being left high and dry by Eltons tardiness

This would've killed a couple of minutes...

A rose, you never used your thorns,
The ones you loved abandoned you,
Your angel face made hearts so warm,
You helped the sick but who helped you ?
Then rushing through the Paris night,
They hounded you, you lost control,
We prayed that you would be alright,
The news came through - Your body cold...

(Chorus) Good night, my sweet princess...

I actually thought he was alright for about 3 minutes - but if there's ever proof that he's a man reliant on a script, that was it. He was CLUELESS

I thought it was a technical issue rather than EJ being 'tardy'?

You could well be right but Gervais worked the crowd and did well - very funny as well

Roger Hodgson of Supertramp was brilliant. I thought the whole thing was really great.

Excellent viewing.

What the guy that screeched like his gonads were in a vice

Were some of you expecting some well-rehearsed routine?

It didn't seem to me that he should have to have a polished routine ready just in case, the crowd still got a laugh out of it, and he came across as somewhat relaxed in the face of adversity - a bit of goofing around, a laugh at prince Harry, kept the crowd waiting for the dance routine, then executed it to cheers and laughter.
I'm not a fan as I didn't watch The Office for more than a couple of minutes - but if that makes him a c*** then

Another thing was that he kept getting told that elton was ready at diffrent times!

I.e '2 mins' then about 1 min later it was 3 mins, how can he plan something that was meant to last for 2 mins and then stretch it to 5?
