I'm a big admirer of Head's moustache.
I swear we had a player of the same name at Sussex. Utterly strange what a contrast this Travis Head is to him. I think our one was sent back to club cricket or some minor counties backwater.

If Head scores a match winning hundred, I'll be pleased for him.
I'll be even more pleased if Labuschagne manages to run himself out by tripping over and lodging his own bat handle up his groin, but that might be too much to ask for.

Has there ever been a more unlikeable cricketer than Steve Smith?
Not content with being an insufferable twat, his batting looks like somebody's sewn about 3 insufferable twats together.

Oh he's out LBW again.
He's not even the most unlikeable cheating Aussie on the pitch, that's Warner. And if half the Shami stuff is true they've a long way to go

Rape of Hastings, Sussex
Clive Lloyd, Viv Richards, Aravinda de Silva, Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Mahela Jayawardene and Travis Head the only centurions in world cup finals.

Ostensibly hilarious that the ICC have tried to rig the entire tournament to ensure India won and they’ve bottled the final. Never enjoyed an Australian cricket victory more.

Would have loved to have seen the Windies in their pomp, as long as I wasn't facing of course...
They were brilliant to watch, and their support in those days was superb - a constant samba band type noise created by beer cans.

I used to go to Lords at least once a year with my mum, a tradition that continued throughout her life. Luckily for me, this included the first three World Cup finals.

In the second one, against England in 1979, my mum fashioned a ‘seat’ out of beer cans. (In those days you could get ground admission tickets and sit on the grass in front of The Tavern). A very drunk Rastafarian stumbled past her and dislodged one of the cans, and she ended up lying on the ground surrounded by beer cans.

He looked down at her and said “Just keep drinking, lady.”

The silence in the stadium is so disrespectful. If I wasn’t sure who I wanted to win before, I am now delighted to see India being trounced.

Marvellous sportsmanship from the Indian crowd, every Aussie boundary greeted with silence...

131-3
Exactly. And apart from the Aus/SA semi, they don't even turn up unless India are playing. What a shite cricket nation.

Indian commentary as embarrassingly biased as ever.

Channel 5 coverage has some Indian commentators, who are now starting to whinge about how unfair it is they had to bat second... :tosser:
Exactly. I couldn't be bothered to say what it was that annoyed me but that was utterly cringeworthy. I am absolutely delighted that Australia have absolutely SPANKED them here.
