People like Huntley are a very good reason for legalising euthanasia.

I'd hate to think how much it costs us each year to "look after" this murdering bastard, he is on a special wing, probably 24 hour suicide watch and no doubt getting some very expensive rehabilitation treatment ... meanwhile good honest people can't afford dental care, medical care, education, housing etc

They should hang the bastard rather than think of compensating him. Scum of the first order - and that's a liberal's views!

my immediate thoughts were that the little scroat that slashed him was probably in a fit of temper over his notoriety rather that him having any sympathy for the girls parents or in fact the girls.
these guys in prison for so called public outrage crimes are mixing with others that don't get that notoriety or publicity but have most likely committed crimes as bad if not worse that Huntley.
I'm not a great believer in capital punishment .......but there are those who suit that sentence particularly in the past few decades.

If only, a prisoner in the UK has more rights than any sane nation would allow. I don't believe in capital punishment but I do think it should be the sentence for anyone who tries to commit suicide!

Guilty as charged, hang the fecker, and hang him high!

Cost too much to arrange mate, let Armadillo Pete, Scratchcard, Big Vern and me pop into his cell, and SORTED, say no more.

Never had this SCUM around when Reg and Ronnie were in charge.

Probably doing it on legal aid so we are paying to sue ourselves and paying to defend it.

Must be something wrong with a system that allows that.

I disagree.

Regardless of what a **** is using it, the issue here shouldn't be that legal aid is unfair, just perhaps the law allowing it to be used.

That was my point which I didnt make very clear. The legal aid sysytem should be monitored and applied with greater restrictions and not used for such civil actions.

Serial paedo who deserves to die very painfully. He got a job working in a school as a caretaker because the CRB didn't cross check against his previous surname (he changed his name by deed poll from Nixon to Huntley). OB in Grimsby knew about his predeliction for teenage girls from 3 separate incidents.

Hopefully somebody will be successful and achieve their aim before he can do it.

The problen is the Human Rights Act which was brought in by Tony Blairs government and his wife Cherie is one of the leading barristers fighting it for people who wish to sue.

Funny that....he brings it in and she makes thousands if not not more from it...benefits nobody but criminals and terrorists......Good old labour....f***ing the people of Britain for 13 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, it is a travesty that the ignorant attacker didn't have a better understanding of human biology before scratching Huntley's neck with a razorblade.

Secondly, why are people banging on about the human rights act. Even without that he probably would have been able to sue for breach of care.

As for Bensgrandad comical suggestion that Tony and Cherie were in cahoots when formulating legislation. Somehow I doubt Blair drafted and proof read any documents.

As regards legal aid, what they should allow is for lawyers to take on these cases on the basis of no win no fee. At the moment they see it as cash cow and irrespective of the result they get their fee. Perhaps if they had to stump up their fees in advance themselves with the possibility of not getting them back they might not be so ready to jump into bed with the scum.

Wouldn't it be good if the case went to a jury and all the evidence showed Huntley was entitled to compensation and the judge directed the jury to rule in his favour and all twelve said stuff you and voted against him.

If you're going to start a heated topic such as this, at least get the name of individual right you twat.

We don't have capital punishment in this country, so prison is for punishment and rehabilitation of the criminal as well as securing the public domain from their presence/activities in it.
The justice system fails when a man like Moat is released (particularly when early!) knowing that he's still a danger on the outside - but anyone serving time given is entitled to full release and freedom.

My outlook on this Huntley guy, is that killing him would be generous and preempt the fulfilling of his term. However, his living in fear, loathing, spite and disdain in a miserable place suits him to a tee. Another attack on him is 'job done', and if he gained any fee from this - what would he do with the money anyway? Let him sue, and even win his £96,000. He can't spend the dosh anyway.
