Is this All the Young Dudes, Mott the Hoople's Ian Hunter?
I think its disgusting that he is allowed out to do this kind of thing, after what he did to those two poor little girls.

He must be in his seventies now.
The guy's a legend, and I saw him a few years back, in Bristol, with the Rant Band - did a brilliant track called 'Good Samaritan'.
Mott the Hoople are one of my all-time favourite bands - they were great at commercial singles (All the Young Dudes, All the Way From Memphis, Roll Away the Stone, etc) and rock-orientated album tracks ('Drivin' Sister', 'Violence', 'Marionnette', 'Crash Street Kids', etc). They could also do ballads - 'Hymn for the Dudes', 'Saturday Gigs'.
He did some great stuff after leaving Mott, too: his first solo single 'Once Bitten Twice Shy' is an all-time classic, and then the [Mick] Hunter-Ronson Band did some great tracks. I've got their live double CD, 'Welcome to the Club', which has rousing tracks like 'Cleveland Rocks' and 'Standing in my Light'.
Enjoy the gig; you'll be in the presence of a genuine bona fide rock-god
I also read it many years ago and really enjoyed it. Some years ago i bought a album by Mott who were some of his band, i can't for the life of me remember the songs on the album or the members of the band but i remember really liking it. Sadly I've not got the album anymore,Anyone out there remember his book : Diary of a Rock n Roll Star. A great read - sadly I`ve lost my copy.
