One of my chummy chum chums sees Chappers on a regular basis and says he is really bitter about the way he was treated by the club and specifically by Uncle Dick.

He walked past the window where I work with a group of others a few weeks ago and in a rare burst of spontaneity I went mental and shouted his name very loudly while applauding. I'd expected him to be weirded out but he was totally chuffed and came up to the window, shook my hand and talked to me for ages. I actually ran out of things to say after "you are a legend, mate", hadn't planned for the exchange to go beyond that. Quite awkward really.
