Me and little Bulldog had our tonsils out within weeks of each other, he was about 5 or 6 and I was mid 30's and within hours he was merrily chomping away on toast and crisps where as in my case it still hurt to swallow anything a week later. He took great pleasure in telling me to stop being a big baby because it does'nt hurt to have your tonsils out.

I got advice not to eat ice cream when I had it done, although it was soothing. Eat stuff with rough ends such as buscuits or crisps. It's meant to heal quicker.

I was sick in the night and got smacked by a nurse for getting blood on the sheets.

Bloody painful and, yes I have been told to eat crisps and toast, which really hurts!

Gonna lay in bed an listen to the Vale game, wish I could be there today, but guess i have a reasonable excuse.
