- grey-haired England debutante, David Steele, strode out at Lords with no protection but specs to face the might of Lilee and Thomson.. and came out on top.
- Clive Lloyd was out for a duck on his last Lords's appearance, LBW Reeve.
- Maradona played for Tottenham

When the Athena B washed up on the beach.
When Robbie Reinelt kept us in the league.

I was there when it kicked off at The Shots (I think it was called) pub in Aldershot when an Albion mob turned up outside before our cup match. Unfortunatley, I was IN the pub full of Aldershot fans

To maintain the theme.

I was actually there when Arsenal ran a mock in the North Stand one evening, in the '70's.

Been trying to think what year I saw them in Guildford, probably around same time you saw them in Top Rank. What you reckon 79/80?

Reckon so. I was either just leaving Oakmeeds in B Hill or starting at HH Sixth Form. It was the second coming of heavy metal as I recall. Maiden were just so loud!

Indeed, Samson, Saxon, Maiden, Deff Leppard and loads of others all started around that time. Good times punk:
