When every one of you was totally convinced we would walk all over you that this is Manchester City. We go from the sublime to the ridiculous with remarkable ease.

I said that last night's game was a test of whether we had cured "Cityitis" ((C) Joe Royle). Well we clearly haven't.

Well done to Brighton, great to see a good old fashioned pitch invasion. Most reports say you deserved it. I hope you get a few quid together in a decent cup run.

Dave, The City fans I spoke to in the pub beforehand made the same points as you wrote on here yesterday. They were good company and just the sort of proper fans we like to see down here. Not like the moneybags Chelski types or the oh so superior United fans.
You might have loads of money, but you know what real football is all about. And believe me that was real football last night.
I hope we draw City in the FA Cup up there (or the UEFA Cup next year) so we can see you all again.
