I feel sorry for this kid. To him, you guys are his friends. He thinks it matters what you lot think of him, and perpetually tries to be either honest or cool towards you... and what do you do, rip the piss - that's why this flounce has come about imo.

I don't think it is about attention seeking, I think it's more about social ineptitude and constant yearning for social relationships on a level that most people take for granted.
