I read it...I think he is just putting forward the "middle way" ie those people who dont give a f*** about Brighton and Hove Albion of which there is a vast majority in our area.

If you read some of it, its all..."ooh wouldn't it be nice to have it here..." type of stuff without any factual basis or inplications.

The thing that shoots it down is him saying that 1. We could widen the road from Woodingdean ( Yeah right as the people of Woodingdean are amongst the most voiviferous opponents of Falmer) and 2. Sheepcoat Valley is easy to walk to from the centre of town. ( Well it may be easy to walk to if you had a day to stroll, but I cant expect 20,000 pissed up fans taking too kindly having been asked to "stroll" from the Steine.

I thought he had bloody well retired anyway

Shhhh, don't tell everyone we'll all be pissed up. It'll affect the application for Falmer.

Etc.

I warned you about hime before when everybody was congratulating Adam Trimmingham for his earlier article.

I just said it was his usual drivel and that he had not been to a football match in his life.

You have some f***ing neck Horton, coming on here - thinking you can preach to us on this subject. :tosser:

I did read the article, and was just amazed about how ill-informed he is about the whole argument. Aside from the MILLIONS it would take to improve the roads at Woodingdean and Wilson Avenue (probably another Public Inquiry in itself), he dismisses in a second the problems associated with park and ride. It would take DOZENS of buses, which the city just doesn't have - and it would not be cost effective to buy them.

When there are eight buses outside Brighton Station replacing the train to Three Bridges, it is jammed. Think of what 20 would do to the area, let alone the 60 or 70 or so required. The city would come to a standstill, commerce would be affected, the emergency services wouldn't be able to move about, let alone what the police are doing. And who wants 2,000 Millwall fans walking through Kemp Town?

It would take to long to write an email saying how bad his information is, so I will just stick to calling him ill-informed. Unlike Perseus, who is pro-actively treacherous. :tosser:

Now that I would love to see...

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Now fair is fair Oh Large One...Mr Horton has done his best on here to dissasociate himself from anyone putting in anything to do with Pende to the public enquiry as he has not given permission to anyone to use it, therefore he is a repented character and fully in support of the club. He is in fact a wonderful chap with his finger on the pulse !

Keep posting Andy...I love your postings

OH CHRIST...He's been to Falmer again!!!!!

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Actually Falmer Church is of great historical significance as when Henry V111 was trying to get rid of Anne of Cleves who he described as " A fat mare from Flanders", he gave her land as part of the divorce settlement that included Falmer and the Church was ceded to her family. It has some very interesting Flying Butresses. The farm to the North east of the Pond was given to her as a hunting area as it was over run with Deer! The irony being when we are granted Falmer Stadium, that is the very area i am going to urinate over and plonk the rose bushes I have pulled up from the gardens of the little old ladies/NIMBY's who live there

Strange things stick in your mind when doing History A level:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:
