ITV coverage of live Football is a total disgrace, let alone the highlights!!, just nothing is right about the whole thing, the commentry is a joke and the interviews with players /managers are just about non existant, and I thought Sky were bad at cramming in adverts....but ITV really do take the micky !!

In one of todays live games, after about 8 minutes + of adverts, the broadcast started, the presenter said a couple of things as an introduction (about a minutes worth) and it went back to MORE adverts !!! (and Yes i am aware thats how they get paid for it) but in moderation....PLEASE !!!

We seem to be getting lots of press coverage with Poyets appointment- who really seems to be putting himself out there, but the regular footie shows including local news such as South Today etc. continues to be dire. I'm looking forward to the point where we're a league above Pompy and the local news has to give us more coverage then a 5 second slot on Monday afternoon. Pricks.

Saying that two televised games this season!

To me TV have runied the F.A cup, whats happened to the dream of the cup for the lower league teams from the 3rd round onwards its allways big prem teams on the tv. Yesterday ITV should have shown Accrington Stanley the tV money would keep the club going this season

What's all this about ITV getting Premiership games next season?

As far as I'm aware the live rights will still be with Sky and ESPN and the BBC's highlights deal hasn't yet run out so it'll be business as usual with Match of the Day on a Saturday night and MOTD2 on Sundays.

ITV shouldn't be allowed near football, so shoddy a job do they make of it

As the song goes, "ITV are f***ing shit". I wasn't bothered by Albion's lack of coverage. We'd have got a lot more if we'd not lost, that's what happens in these situations. It's everything else they do which is rubbish. Their sets look two bob, their guests are barely house-hold names, and their post match analysis is a jumbled mess. Basically, ITV are indeed f***ing shit. Personally, I'd like to see more of this fine chant at ITV televised games. Maybe they'll get the message and not bother bidding next time.

I totally agree, I was really annoyed when they gave the Spurs match extra long highlights right at the start, a game which I had seen about 4 hours earlier, followed by a load of stupidly long ad breaks.

On the other hand I did watch the FA Cup preview show on ITV4 on Saturday morning, they actually devoted quite a lot of time to the Albion. I thought they might carry that forward into the highlights show but obviously we're not important enough to get a mention on ITV1.

ITV just seem to always have pundits who can't provide insight beyond what you could hear down the pub. If you're an ex-player, let's hear it from the players' perspective, or stuff they have heard from their mates in the coaching staff of the teams they're watching. Not just 'he'll be disappointed with that', or 'that won't be an easy game'. It's banal bollocks. Not that Shearer is much better on the Beeb.

Also it's a shame to see that Ned Boulting or whatever his name is as the presenter, he's a very good reporter and has done some excellent football TV features but looked a fish out of water on Saturday night hosting the thing.

Just watched the highlights of the Spuds Dirty Leeds game and they don't show either of the incidents leading up to the penalties.

How crap is that!
