Also 3 points NOT given away to that diving bunch.
But it wasn’t late December! It was mid March. The Ides of March, in fact.Newport County back in '63
Firstly, it’s not an impossibility that they could go down this season.Honestly we smashed them off the pitch. We outclassed them in every way. Tiny little palace will be shitting it now. They won’t go down this season, but f*** me, next year playing like that say hello to tuesday nights at Plymouth.
We beat them at home during March 10 years ago and then the next season we ended up in different divisions.Firstly, it’s not an impossibility that they could go down this season.
Twas my birthday yesterday and folk used to talk about the Ides of March when I was young. Didn't have a feckin clue what they were on about. But it wasn’t late December! It was mid March. The Ides of March, in fact.
That's a VERY low bar, to be fair!So much better than Sweet Caroline.
Wish I’d been there for all that but I left WSU on 87 minutes (don’t normally leave early) anticipating the long wait and knowing I needed to get up early the next morning. I was on a Mill Road bus just about as the final whistle went, and back home just north of Southampton at 11.15.Thank you, it is my Birthday today and the best present was the 1-0 win last.night. WSU was rocking and despite spend over an hour post match in the rain waiting for the bus back to the Mill Lane park and ride I had fantastic time. even giving wanker signs to the palace coach as it was leaving and seeing our players leaving but stoping their cars so the excited young Albion fan could have a selfie with them. Warms the heart.
Yep it’s a real shame as I would love to see the Amex full at the end of a game like that. But I also understand why people would not want to spend longer waiting for a bus in the rain then the length of the match including the 9 minutes injury time. if we had lost or they got another undeserving equaliser then it would have been ducking miserableWish I’d been there for all that but I left WSU on 87 minutes (don’t normally leave early) anticipating the long wait and knowing I needed to get up early the next morning. it did make me appreciate why people might want to leave early, or be fair.
