Don't forget to mention that his eldest son, Francis, found enduring fame in Up Pompei. He also starred in many of the the Carry On movies, which were inspired by the brave new wave of hope and optimism that swept suburban Britain with the advent of his fathers' dream of the Garden City.

In fact it is widely held that that Frankie's catchphrase, "Titter Ye Not" was first uttered by his father at a Bedfordshire & District Planning Enquiry.

Don't forget too to mention that the builders of Castle Howard, the great Yorkshire mansion and park familiar to many through the TV version of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited, were so indebted to his planning, layout and design skills that they decided to name it after him.

Once again Lush is RIGHT on the money, Tommy Boy. However, don't fall into the trap of mentioning 'Howard from the Halifax adverts.' He is is NO WAY related to Ebenezer, although suprisingly many Planning scholars STILL stumble into this most easily of avoided traps :nono:

Confusingly, the actor who played THIS naif:

...Ron Howard, is also NOT related to either Howard from the Halifax or our Ebeneezer. But - and they SHAT themselves laughing on set when this came out - Henry "The "EEEGH CUNNINGHAM" Fonz" Winkler IS. Extraordinary.

a good game to play is to ask 10 people for one random word, then attempt to fit them into the essay

this can help increase the word count, as you have to use additional words you wouldn't normally use to fit these new words in
