I was thiking today how PROUD I am over everything to do with the club. Qualioty chairman, great message board, best up and comming management team in the country, some great players and then their is next season at The Amex.
Loving it at the moment too, and saturdays performance made me proud to be an albion fan. Watched them for 12 years now (im only 18), been to 70 grounds watching them, and saturday proved its all been totally worth it. Going to Hartlepool away on a tuesday night a few years ago in an FA cup 2nd round replay losing 2-1 for example. The good times make the bad all worth it!
Great seeing Dick Knight in the away end too, without him we wouldn't have a club to support, so thanks, Dick! Not many other former chairmen of other clubs would be going to games still would they. Shows the true spirit of the albion i think.
I hate the fact you all make me feel so good standing about at Norhtampton on a grim tuesday night, or Withdean when we're on sky, or Withdean when we're playing the best football in the league and I can't thank everyone of you for making it a fantastic experience, every other week at least.
I hate the fact i'll need some kind of suppliment for the away games i'll not be able to afford when I go to uni, and i'm a million miles away and I love the Albion too much to bear not having a season ticket at the Amex that i'm getting one regardless and making the 7 hour round trip each home game from Dorset (with any luck) just to watch and share the albion and theres nothing i can do to say no.
Good shout - it's absolutely quality being an albion fan at the mo.
From a personal perspective the timing is ideal as i've got a 6-year old who's right into the albion now and whilst i've taken him to a fair few games over the last 18-24 months the catalyst i needed to put the miles in and take him up and down the country watching the albion is the sort of form we're in at the moment.
I've always loved long away trips and with us being top it's the perfect excuse...last week i asked the mrs if we had anything on 13th November as i wanted to take the boy to the football to which she replied 'no' and I promptly sent him off to his playroom to 'find Hartlepool on the map'...she wasn't best pleased but she'd already given us the go ahead by then!!
