It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, just enjoy yourself. He is clearly a good musician, even if he isn't to everybody's taste. Unfortunately it is a British tradition to hate everyone who becomes popular. Musical snobbery of the worst kind - kindled by a very sad British music press.

Fantastic guitarist, ignore all the music Nazis on here who's opinion isn't worth diddly squat if they can't see/hear that :thumbsup:

Will be excellent as he also has a large repertoire of songs. Maybe a guest appearance by Emmylou Harris?

I've just won 2 tickets to see Mark Knopfler at The Albert Hall next month. Should be a cracking night plus I've got one of the boxes not just your ordinary seat. :clap2::clap2:

A superb guitarist in my view (but I'm sure others will differ). I never tire of listening to those silky sounds. Up there with Dave Gilmour for me.

Enjoy.

yet again Mark Kermode and the so-called experts like him may pan it but the public knows better and I found Love Over Gold very moving and wept at the end 8.1

I saw him about 18months ago at Wembley with Emmylou Harris.

Have to say I found some of his stuff cringeworthy, and craved more from EH.
Her voice sent shivers down the spine.

Oh well, good excuse for an Emmylou vid I suppose;
