I've no idea what their current squads are like, but never right off France or Germany, 20/1 and 16/1 respectively.

I'll be putting my money on one of them.

England, 7/1! Be realistic! 3rd favourites! C'mon look at the statistics, why has the epl got one of the lowest usages of English players. Maybe because they don't think they're good enough.

The best Spain have ever come in the WC is 4th in 1950, so why does anyone believe they can win it.

Because they have the best team in it by a country mile.

They showed that they aren't bottlers with winning the Euro and they are worthy favourites.

Very good keeper, good defence.

Midfield including Fabregas, Iniesta, Xavi, Alonso, Silva.

Strikers - Villa, Torres..

They may not have won it before, but in my opinion there isn't another team that comes anywhere close in quality..

Am I correct in thinking, that if I put money on a top scorer then they could finish in the top 3 and I would still get money? Same goes for the overall winners, they could come 1st, 2nd or 3rd?

Only if you do it as an each way bet.
Top goalscorer is top 4 at 1/4 the odds, Tournament winner is 1st or 2nd at 1/2 odds i believe.

Being a bit lazy here but that player who scored for Inter in the CL final, will he be at the World Cup? If so, what country / does his country start him? And is he even a Striker?

Diego Milito. Think he'll be there but likely to be Argetnina's fifth choice striker behind Messi, Higuain, Aguero and Tevez. And possibly behind good old Martin "Missed Three Pens In A Match" Palermo who seems to be one of Maradona's favourites
