I hear Lucas was acting like Communist again yesterday on her soap box at Hove...

Banging on about health service reforms

Do we really want our MP to be conducting her self in such a way?

Surely being (somehow) elected to the House Of Commons would suggest she would make these kind of protestations there.

Her cronies then marched to Mike Weatherley's office to demonstrate.

Mike tweeted that he was at home relaxing and about to choose a film.

Never has a constituency needed a by - election more than Pavilion.

Isn't the stereotype meant to be that Greens aren't so keen on soap? :)

I hate it when MPs look to stand for something and appear in public making their opinion known. I prefer incredibly low viewing figures for Parliament TV and facile soundbytes and truths partly rewritten by mostly right-wing journos and illiterate online bloggers.
If there's ever an assassination attempt on Lucas made by an inbred local, i know where i'd look to find the multi-digited gunslinger first.

Tim obsessed with Green lady yet again, why not just go and chat her up instead of keep posting about your near misses in your quest to date her.

I think that is going to be a "whoosh" MB.

She's not your MP and at least she's representing her constituents.

Your mate Mike has been completely anonymous since being elected for Hove and Portslade. In fact if he travelled over here to Mile Oak he'd probably end up with a nose bleed from being so far from his nice & comfy Hove!

That is the single most idiotic thing I've seen you write in my short time here, and believe me, the competition is intense. An MP, especially an opposition one, not only has a right to raise his or her objections against legislation in the commons, but a duty to do so. This does NOT preclude a campaigning role in opposition to any legislation. Individual members of the public also have the right to make their views heard via central lobby, although that doesn't work as well in real life.

Do you have the faintest understanding of the British political process your fellow travellers are so eagerly gerrymandering?

I was just going to say, she's, erm, a politician isn't she? Isn't that what they're meant to do?

Oh I say! What a marvelous start to this lovely sunny Sunday morning. I bet Mr Bed & Breakfast barely slept last night with the thought of being able to wield his mighty Pomposity Pistol in Ms Lucas's vague direction today. We are truly blessed.

Hey - but don't go using up your Superpowers in one massive hit though, Timmy. Remember: Gus's week hangs on your literary brilliance at the morrow's Press Conference...

Just to be clear hb&b, are you saying that as an opposition MP Ms Lucas has no right trying to convince people of her case outside the commons? Because that's what it seems like you're suggesting in the bit I quoted above.

Do you feel that way about all opposition to the government? Did you feel that way when the last government were in?

What are you bloody going on about. Christ political commentary does half bring out some total bullshit in people

In London village.
Marvelous work, Agent Timmy. I knew the strategy of presenting the Tories as clueless reactionary bigots would get our candidate elected in 2010 and your sterling efforts will add thousands to the Green vote next time around. Keep up the good work.
