I hate camping, I hate the "festival atmosphere" shite that people go on about, but..
New Order are playing at a 3 day, 3 day ticket only, camping only mostly-electronica festival in Ireland this year. Its surprisingly cheap for that it is (€175 including bus from Dublin), but I can't stand camping (and don't own a tent) and utterly despise the "festival atmosphere". The other big festival here has been just down the road from me and I've got quite used to getting in to the car and being on-site in 15 minutes, and being home for last orders, proper bed, shower in the morning and drive back for the next day...
But this is New Order. I have to make allowances. Can I make myself cope with three days in a muddy field (its Ireland, in September. It'll be wet.) in Kilkenny for them and a few other acts scattered through the entire lineup that I'll go to see? Or should I wait until they play Manchester again and just drive across and end up paying less...
I've tried the whole festival camping thing enough times to know that I hate it.
