I hope and pray for your sake that whoever bought it for you remembered to keep the receipt.

Most shops are open again from tomorrow, so you should have no trouble exchanging it for something good.

;)

Totally agree. I bought some of their stuff when it originally came out (circa 1979) and got reaquainted with a few of their albums recently. i found 6 of their first 8 albums in my stocking this morning.

Discovery is so so good. The Villas is rocking to it now.

Funnily enough m8, Discovery was one of my least favourites. It saw ELO go from the 7 piece group to 4 and it seemed to lose that rawness that came from "out of the blue" and "a new world record".

On the other hand, i loved "Time" album.

Never got to see the original band live but saw the very first gig that ELO part 2 did at the Btn centre.....that was just superb.

Viva ELO !!!

I've got 'Out of the Blue' on now.

I'm in a rediscovery mode with ELO. I liked them as a youngster but mainly for their singles. I only owned Discovery as an album. As a late 30s muso I'm remining old music seams. I'll let you know how I get on.

Some of the older stuff is superb m8.....Eldorado, face the music and on the third day and just superb stuff with lots of experimenting with strings and synthesizers.

I'd honestly say that A new world record is my fave album.

Sun is shinin' in the sky,
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin'
Everybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day. Hey hey hey!

Runnin' down the avenue
See how the sun shines brightly
In the city on the streets
Where once was pity,
Mr. Blue Sky is living here today. hey hey hey!

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why,
You had to hide away
For so long(so long) where did we go wrong.

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why,
You had to hide away
For so long(so long) where did we go wrong.

Hey you with the pretty face,
Welcome to the human race
A celebration Mr. Blue Sky's
Up there waitin' and today
Is the day we've waited for

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why,
You had to hide away
For so long where did we go wrong.

Hey there Mr. Blue
We're so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do,
Everybody SMILES AT YOU.

Hey there Mr. Blue
We're so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do,
Everybody SMILES AT YOU.

MR BLUE SKY,
MR BLUE SKY,
MR BLUE SKY, FLY

Mr. Blue you did it right,
But soon comes Mr. Night,
Creepin' over, now his
Hand is on your shoulder,
Never mind I'll remember you this
I'll remember you this way.

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why,
You had to hide away
For so long where did we go wrong.

Hey there Mr. Blue
We're so pleased to be with you
Look around see what you do,
Everybody SMILES AT YOU.

Mr. Blue
