I never said I liked him, but some of the comments made about his footballing have been a bit unfair

I don't so.

He should sort it out.
He has lapsed into the trap of fame addiction.
He is not the same player he was three or four years ago.
Why did Fergie let him go???
You ask yourself that???

his mind obviously hasn't been on the euro's and he's done absolutely nothing except for missing 2 penalty's.he got away with the france 1 but not even to hit the target tonight cos he was trying to be cocky is disgusting!! big beckham fan but feel he's let us down big time over the last 2 weeks

I think he's brought it on himself. To much going on outside of football. He's not hungry anymore IMHO.

He deserves criticism - he is not fit enough to be a professional footballer, he let his harder-working collegaues down. He needs to look long and hard at himself, relinquish penalties and do some damn running!

I agree with you CAFC Matt. Beckham has a good work rate and didn't play like his usual self because Sven adopted a defensive approach, so Beckham was always tracking back to cover the incompetent Gary Neville.

He must feel like the worst person in the world to miss another penalty, and then to go home and be slaughtered by the public and press.

No wonder the national team never succeed, people have unrealistic expectations.

Pretty unfair on him I reckon. I'm no fan of his but the game went to penalties, it's a shit way of doing it, and someone always will miss, and if England are in the shoot out it will always be an England player who fucks it up.

Beckham has done a fantastic job in getting us to the finals, he has not been a shining star in this tournament, but if you want to blame someone in this tournament blame Heskey, Gerrard and James from the France game, their displays were not those of a proffessional player.

And it doesn't help when you have an overpaid Swede in the managers seat, he's always going to pick Beckham cos he's doing it for the money, and putting Becks on the pitch ensures the saleability of England shirts to giggling girls, which means he gets even more money and commercial oppertunities. He ain't got no passion for England.

Get a decent English Manager, pay him English wages, and then you'll get the passion all the way down the line.

Finished.

Hmm, no experience at managing at European level, let alone international level. Great choices!

Hey, it's not my job to appoint English Managers, I'm just a fan, I'm passionate about Brighton, not so about England cos the FA don't seem to be able to run a national side properly, comon, I ask you, a Swede for England manager, it's never going to work.

I bet he's counting the offers for Adverts as we speak.

We all know that the FA can't run a bath, and look at what they've done the to the national side.

Hey, I agree with that too, but that is a job for the FA.

There are many English managers out there, they have to get a chance sometime. Bobby Robson did it, so could someone else.
