E-mail below rcievd from daily echo with reasoning behind the bizarre ratings that appeared in daily echo on monday......
Apologies if someone else has already emailed to explain, but I'm just back into the office today.
What happened was that Simon covered the game and sent back the player marks, along with all the other bits for the match spread. Unfortunately, in the rush to get everything sent away before deadline, one of the sub-editors forgot to put the marks in for the Albion players. The ones that appeared were from the previous game, which unfortunately was Saints' 2-1 win against Charlton in midweek. That's why there was such a discrepancy.
I've pasted Simon's actual marks in below for your information, in case you'd like to see them.
Apologies for the mistake.
