i have been a albion loyal fan for 25 years and have read this foru for years but never really posted...

is it me or do some people on here continually slag of and moan like f*** bout our team, players and anything else to do with the club?

i konow everyone is entitled to an opinion but for f*** sake its boring, start supporting our players and show some respect..

dont make assumptions and think you can play or manage any better from behind your computer screens.. if we all stuck together and supported the club as a whole then we would be in a better position..

people have very short memories and forget the past good and bad times!

it really pisses me off! the END.

Agree with that, but have you sat at Withdean?
I have never sat through a game out of earshot of the constant whingeing of the old twats who just f***ing moan for 90 minutes.
Away games however.....positive vibes dude!

yes mate, i have sat at withdean ever since the 6-0 mauling of Mansfield on our return to Brighton.

i have moved to the north stand because i got into to many rows with our own noddy whinging fans in the south stand who now f*** all about football and compare us to premiership teams all the time..

cant wait for falmer, at least ill have 22,000 seats to choose from..

im just happy to still have a football club to support and love after coming so close to losing it and travelling to gillingham in the dark days...

I guess it's better to have bums on seats (even if those bums are whinging!) than no bums on seats. :)

People will always find things to moan about. It happens at every club, we are not unique.

fair point! it just really gets to me at times...... you wait, if we lose the next couple of games (not that i think we will), how long will it take the clowns on here to starting saying 'how long has Gus got?' or 'is Forster past it?'..

support the f***ing team!

Come and sit with us in the South Stand. The average age of the whingers reduces substantially and we only moan at the officials. "Come and join us, come and join us....."

Couple of thoughts

- having been to quite a few away grounds over the years, I am not convinced that our fans moan any more than any others. If things aren't going well - and that's the case for the majority of clubs of course, we can't all be top - then fans do like to bitch. Ours may seem worse because it matters to you more?

- is it an age thing? I know we have fans of all ages, but if you look back at the old photos from the 50's-80's you see a lot more young fans. Brighton have had 20 feeble years and haven't been attracting as many new young fans as we did back in the glory days of Div 1. I wonder if we have a rump of fans who started following around then and who are now all piling into their mid-40's (Mrs TRHK watched a bit of the Saints game on telly and when they showed the crowd she said "They all look like you!!" - I'm 44). And when you look around Withdean, a great many of the fans do seem to be from that era, as do a lot of the contributors to NSC. I try to keep a positive outlook on life, but the fact is as we age we do seem to become more apt to snap or grumble (moan too strong a word?).

- bigger crowds come if you are successful. Bigger crowds mean you hear the moaners less and there are relatively fewer moaners.

So perhaps all fans moan and maybe we are a bit worse because we have a slightly ageing fan base? And, self evidently, successful teams have fewer moaners - and for now we have been unsuccessful for a long time.
