The more and more I read on here & on the argus webiste...the more bewildered I get with the fans of this club!

We all know we havent had the greatest start, of which Ive seen first hand but with all the new faces and the poor season we had last term its no surprise to me & anyone who thought we would go off like an express train is very very Naive.

Slade sometimes does certain things to concern me...but I like everyone else do not know the in's and outs of his decisions....ie....why isnt dicker playing...(well maybe he's not fully match fit) and why do we keep persisting with 4-5-1 and also why Adam El Abd is ever allowed near another albion squad?

At the end of the day Im fully behind Slade for his fantastic achivement last term and for me he's got the managerial class and personality to turn this season into a success....ie top half maybe nick playoffs.

But Im pig sick of murmerings from fans that he should go...or Wise in or how long has he got left, what the fcuk is the matter with you morons....were 4 games into a season, what exactly do you expect.......and who do you think you are supporting??? We are not a super force in english football and never have been and if he does go before xmas, no big named managers who can just breath near the players to get a result will be turning up at withdean.

So every single person needs to chill out, enjoy our new players and the fact we can now watch our wonderful staduim being built and enjoy that the new season is back.

I am telling all my non Albion supporting mates that Tuesday was a glitch ( every bugger seems to know THAT score) and we are gonna have our best season for a while...they, mostly, piss themselves laughing at me as they go "yeah yeah" or worse

We'd better start winning soon or I'm gonna look like the mug I probably am in thinking we are gonna have a mostly enjoyable sason

I don't think we're any different to other clubs in the calibre of our fans. We have some absolute PLANKS supporting this football club, the type of person who sings "Never Surrender" at matches for example. But even the complete planks are entitled to their opinions, and I can understand why they wouldn't approve of Slade. Slade really is a thinking man's manager, those of us who actually understand that the game isn't as easy as it would seem respect the work Slade is trying to do and what he is trying to put in place here, and some of us can understand what it doesn't happen straight away.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I agree with everything he's been doing. 4-5-1 at home against Walsall with both Forster and Murray on the bench still boggles my mind and I really can't understand why Dicker hasn't been playing, and more to the point, why El-Abd has been. ???

Just remember, BYF, not all Albion fans are any one thing and for every complete 'tard supporting the club, you have a me. :jester:

With respect I think the only person who has posted more negative stuff on NSC than you is me.

With respect aswell mate.....as you grow up a bit you start to realise that a couple of defeats isnt the end of the world and that there is more to life...then you can step away from it and see that the whole club is taking a massive transformation....I see only positive things happening!

New Ground
New players (Who cost money & not all free)
New Chairman (who is hungry for success)
Big Buzz around the club for all the above reasons!

On the back of that we still have moaners.....Im excited just thinking about the above!

What I don't understand is that whenever we sign a new player, 50% of the people here complain that they've never heard of the new player. As if they're expecting us to sign an established Championship or Premiership player - despite us playing at a running track.

Baffles me every time that one.

Well said that man. some of the whingers clearly live in an alternate reality from the rest of us. We aren't a great team at the moment, and in order to turn us into a good team we need a lot of work on and off the pitch. the fans do play a part in that, and how the opinonated little shits can write off a player they've never seen or after 180 minutes of football is really quite sad.

Brighton factually.....
As with most football fans of ALL clubs we have "delusions of grandeur" . I think we expect way too much of our, lets face facts mediocre team. We have no right to sign the best players or be automatically a contender for promotion just because we signed a few players. That we feel are going to set this division alight even though some have been deemed not good enough at there last team. These players have either droped down a division or jumped up from the blue square..! As with every season there either going to gel and its going to be the start of something special in the seasons to come or another season of misfits and doom mongering . WE ARE LIKE EVERY SET OF SUPPORTS WE ARE NO DIFFERENT "WE HAVE DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR"

GOOD TIMES COME & GO FOR TEAMS LIKE US, AND I LOVE IT

AND I WILL SUPPORT THE ALBION THROUGH EVERYTHING.

Youve actually gone out of your way to dig out old threads...what a sad state.

The fact is...the board including our currant chairman agreed that Wilkins was not up to the job.

The difference being now is I have faith in our manager now and you can dig all what you want out....but what I have written in regards to our currant situation isnt too far from the truth is it mr thread digger outter..
