I Cannot Believe The Negativity On Here

4 weeks ago, half of the members on here believed we were going to be close to the play-offs. Just because we have had the worst Christmas fixture list for a decade or so, people think we are going down?

Positives from the Christmas fixtures.

We played well against Carlisle, and it is a game we should not have lost. It was a bit of naivety that cost us the game.

Bournemouth is a game we should not have lost, because of a blunder.

Only Port Vale and Yeovil are games we lost fair and square, and these are teams who are realistically chasing promotion.

West Ham is a CUP fixture, against a PREMIERSHIP team. Weren't we two points from the relegation zone when we played Spurs? And we're in a lower league now!

There are 10 teams worse than the Albion in this League, have some faith and get behind the boys.

Not quite true as Rotherham, although below us, had 10 points deducted and would have more points that us now !

Abort, retry, fail
None of our strikers look like scoring. Robinson hasn't scored in the league since Huddersfield(?).

Our defence has looked fairly shoddy of late and we do not really have any impact players to bring on if we are chasing a result. We start too slowly at home and often find ourselves fighting to get back into the game.

There is no noise at Withdean and the players dearly need the crowd to get behind them to give them confidence and courage.

This league is always very tight and one can easily slip out of the division without being one ofthe worst four teams.

And tough shit, they ain't so stop waffling spontaneous negative gibberish.

I honestly believe we will not be anywhere near relegation. Yeovil were in a similar position last season, started well, and then went on a bad run of form and got close to the drop zone as teams like Forest, Gills and Brizzle got some form that lifted them up the table.

I think its because:

A) Albion have been losing after showing some really good signs and putting the finger on why is hard to work out.

And

B) All this happening at the same time England were made to look pathetic in the cricket

B) has put alot of people in a bad mood.

And when A) happens at the same time as B) it compounds all those negative thoughts into into one big negative though.

Sadly, I can believe the negativity.

Not because of any inherent we're going down / we're shit / we're not going to get Falmer / it's raining / CBB is shite this time type stuff, it's just that this is always what happens when we lose four or five on the bounce.

All I can say is that I am glad the players have far more faith in their own abilities than some of the fans do, cos if they didn't...

Than maybe we should stop being so negative and bicker with each other, and get the team out of this mess!

Trust me, 90% of England doesn't give a shit about the cricket.

Team half full of youth players who are
a) Inexperienced
b) Probably knackered because they are not used to this amount of games at this level.

As far as I can see we need to get a couple of old heads in the transfer window (forward and cenre mid) to plug the holes and steady the ship and all should be fine. Would also introduce Chamberlain and P.Hinshelwood to the first team squad to freshen it up a bit and rest some of the younger players.

Not sure sending out Santos and Loft on loan is a great idea because quite frankly we need the numbers and Santos has experience and Loft has a little.

What % of Englands population are Albion fans?

Don't try to be smart - it doesn't suit you.

Most Albion fans don't really give a shit about the cricket either.

Try a poll if you like. 3pts for the Albion or a Test win? No contest imo.

I think its a bit more popular than that, probably the 2nd most popular team sport in the country.

I'm sure you've played a cricket computer game before haven't you?

I'm with you, the negativity on here always goes completely over the top. We're a decent side who should have more than enough not to be looking over our shoulder at relegation .... trouble is you could probably find a post from me saying something pretty similare this time last year.

Nah, we'll be just fine. It's more that some people were going over the top about us a month ago. Play-offs were always going to be stretching us, and this side is nowhere near ready for The Championship.

Mid-table looks very likely to me, and personally, that'll do me fine.

Come back when you have seen more than half a season of football and know what constitutes a bad team. No smoke without fire.
