I will add, it does get easier as the hours, days, months & years go by.
It really does.
It really does.
Like an alcholic, you will always be a smoker. Sooner you realise that, the sooner you will get off the fags for good.
1 year 2 months gone for me.
Good luck and just keep going. Before you know it a week would have gone, then a month, then a year.
Stick a fiver each day on your bedside table, and by the end of the first week you`ll nearly have enough for a gram of coke. :
That's not really the point is it, anyone who's never had a ciggie in their life would get a rush first time they smoked, that doesn't make them a smoker. With alcoholism, you can't "just have one" (or so I'm told).
I don't think that's true. I haven't smoked for more than 12 years and I can definitely say I am no longer a smoker.
Anyway all the best US. It's hard work but it if you really want it you'll do it.
Good Luck with that
I'm over eleven years in now
Be careful of the weight-gain thing
If you do regular training/exercise, I'm sure you'll be fine
This is a good point. Afetr not smoking for over one year I have put on 2.5 stone.
To be fair I started a 9.5 stone and I 6 foot tall. So I needed it.
Cold turkey three month ago. I am approximately £600 better off so far.
