I accepted after last season that the general standard of refereeing at this level is so utterly atrocious that nothing would surprise me.

What actually happens to refs at this level? All the time in the Prem we see refs make far less poor decisions than this, then they're in the paper, being castrated by managers and being left out of the following weeks games are punishment.

At this level i get the feeling they just continue on happy as larry to the next game.
