I have just sat here at work and sobbed my heart out to The Green Mile........

If you have not seen it, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Tom hanks is superb and the film itself is just excellent..

I must go and have a coffee now:cry:

you have no romance in your souls

Anyone who has seen the film recon John Coffey was Jesus? ( same initials) or maybe a Jesus type character?

I cry at the end of Cool Runnings every time I watch it, Gladiator gets me going and you can't not cry at the end of the Early Doors episode when Ken finds out his daughter wants to meet her real dad.

"The names Coffey, same as the drink only not spelt the same."

But yeah, I think Coffey was meant to portray a Jesus type character, his ability to heal others, being on the Green Mile/condemned to die and Jesus being on the cross condemned to die, Jesus had two men either side, one who scorned him the other who realised his helplessness, as did Coffey. The whole "I tried to take it back" thing, not about not killing the girls but taking their pain and suffering. There are examples all throughout the movie/book.

Can you tell I wrote a whole project thingy at Uni on the book. lol

really...did you think the film was a fair representation of the book?

I cried at Ken's speech to the whole pub in the last episode - I couldn't help myself!
