Why???

He kept a tiny club( in premiership terms) up last season with small budget. Its the Carling cup im sure they are not that bothered Its ALL about the league to them

They need to focus ONLY on the league.
They go down, they lose all their best players (okay, both of them).
They get dumped out of cups and stay up, they carry on building on where they've got so far.

Easy to see their best plan, really. Didn't we once do really well in a cup competition?

Football fans, eh, doncha love 'em. Is this the same Hull City that was bottom of the whole football league just nine (or was it ten) years ago, or a different one? Here they are, playing premiership football, ok getting turned over more often than not, but even so. And they sit in silence whilst their team is getting turned over by the fifth or sixth best team in the country over the past few seasons, and expect the manager to be sacked for not getting them into Europe.
