[Albion] Hürzeler’s substitutions

10/10 for substitutions today - you don't see that very often.

Effectively won the game.
It’s the options though isn’t it? A polish international who doesn’t really get a look in? The rising stars of Brazil and Cameroon… a German wonder kid… our bench is unreal… our depth, thanks to our progressive summer, something (for us) to behold.

Let's face it...he had to do something and if Baleba was remotely fit enough he had to come on.
How the hell does he cover the ground to win some of them balls though? Never seen a player like it

Excellent substitutions today, obviously aided by a stronger bench, but the timing of them were spot on. I feared the worst when he brought Moder on for Mitoma but it worked well, added an extra big, strong body in there to ease the inevitable oncoming pressure.

I thought his subs were much better today, albeit he was bringing on some of his best players, so it’s hard to argue it was some mind blowing tactical move.

I’m not sure bringing on Moder was the best move though. Our change to 442 and the shift back allowed them to have the ball and they very nearly equalised.

But who cares. We won. And we thoroughly deserved it.

I think it was impossible for Fab to make bad substitutions with that bench at his disposal. You could tell before the game started that if we were in it on the hour we had the players to make a difference.

Ps Europe again ole ole

Good subs. But let's face it when you've got baleba, o Riley and Pedro to.come on you've got to give the club some credit. These are all game changers.

I'd like to give him credit for having balls to start with Ayari and Hinsh. Trying to manage whatever injury baleba had / has. Forcing him into 90 might have left us without baleba for longer. But although an underwhelming first half, we weren't out of sight. So could change it.

Moder was the only odd one. Consensus near me was Enciso on for Welbz to keep some.threat up front.

Hard to say whether moder had any negative effect but he didn't seem to have a positive one and looked pensive and played a few really weak passes. And for a big lad he's quite a simpson-pusey in the tackle.

Really helps when you have players of the quality we did today to bring on. Absolutely nailed it.
