Worthing
Andy Booth has announced he's retiring as of the end of the season. Saturday will be his last home appearance - expect them to go all out to get him a win (and a goal or two). They cannot make the playoffs (Tranmere v Scunthorpe is last match and one of them will have more than 72 pts) but I hope none of our players are thinking Hudds will be on the beach already. This game will be very difficult for us and we may need to rely on 3pts against Stockport - but at least yesterday's win gives us the option..

as 10cc say, not in hove
i saw this this morning and thought this would be good news: they can't reach the playoffs and if their senior player is retiringf it's more likely to be all backslapping and smiles all round.....isn't it? (clutching at straws i know.....)

technically speaking Town can reach the playoffs I think if they win both games and the teams above lose theirs ( unless they are playing eachother) but they are -15 goals down on Tranmere at the moment!

Or thats how it was on Saturday

The relaxed attitude of a lot of posters is concerning and I hope the players don't feel the same. A draw or defeat and it could be out of our hands again.

Saturday is massive but I dont get the vibe its seen that way

The hard work isnt complete yet

Just because there going to be up for it doesn't mean we wont win ???
I'm sure Russell, the players and the fans will be up for it as much as the Huddersfield fans and players.

I think the away attendance on Sat will show how much our faithful are up for it. And judging by Slade's attitude so far I reckon he'll most definitely be making sure the lads know exactly how big-a game it is.. not that they won't know already.

we cant reach the play off's as scunny and tranmere still need to play each other unfortuantly. bad times!

ah.

Do you remember the Fulham game when we were about to get into the Premiership under Bruce? Didnt turn up and lost 3-0 on the day or something like that.

That was a bad day!

yeah i was at that game! was my first ever away game that fulham one, and i remember was a baking hot day in the sun...

was so gutted to lose, and then it was announced Bolton had won as well putting us out of the play off's, if only we had held on to Marcus Stewart eh!

Saturday will be very tough indeed. I think it is most likely that it will be down to us to beat Stockport on the final day (to guarantee staying up) but who wouldn't have given their right arm for that a couple of weeks ago? Flying to the Netherlands tonight but plan on hiring a car and driving to Brighton via Calais/Dover on the 2nd to see the game :ascarf:

It all changed that season when we lost to Liverpool in the Cup. I am sure some of the players got it into their minds that they were not good enough.

I was so pissed off at Fulham, and when they announced the Bolton score that really capped the day off.
