Kuipers 8: Two STUPENDOUS saves, one in each half, was the difference between a point gained and lost. Textbook FDM!
Whing 7: Solid, even was seen in the opposition box on one occasion.
Borrowdale 6: Cadamatari gave him a hard time, seemed blinded by the sun in the second half, but solid overall.
Virgo 7: Looks as if someone has told Slade that Adam is a good centre half.
Elphick 7: Had his hands full with an aerial battle with Andy Booth all match, but apart from the goal did reasonably well.
Cox 6: Corners a bit hit and miss, ran well for most of the match
Fraser 6: One of his better games, still looks slightly out of place
Loft 7: Full of running as always, though not hugely creative when he has the ball.
Dicker 7: The more I see of him the more I like, tidy, clears up well, doesn't waste the ball, shame there is no one looking for it enough times when he is in possession though.
Owusu 6: At fault for Town's second goal, with a criminal attempted pass to Loft, and missed two sitters, but scored again and without him we would be down by now.
Hart 5: Injured before he could make an impression

Subs:
Andrew 7: Took the goal well, very strong, made a golden chance for Owusu with his determination in the second half
McLeod 5: Enigmatic!
Davies 5: Not on very long, nearly won the game in the final minutes with a 25 yard curler that I suspect was a cross but dipped under the bar forcing good save from their keeper.

kuipers 8?! he was incredibly dodgy with any ball into the box, as was shown by the first goal when he came and got nowhere near, and punching a THROW IN over the bar when he could easily have caught it. he didnt dominate the box anywhere near like he should have done - as that cock up with him and elphick showed

two good saves yes, but an 8 and a point earning save? i dont think so

he did flap at the odd cross but the saves were top drawer in my opinion

According to SCR, the second one was certainly a match saver - but shouldn't have been necessary, if the defence had been tighter. Slade was apparently very angry about the sloppy defending.

The players concerned should all have a point deducted for nearly losing the match.

Kuipers - 7 - I believe he was at fault for the first goal, he shouldn't have moved from his goal, but he did make one tremendous save

Whing - 5 - thought he was poor today, hardly moved forward at all, looked better in the second-half. An average Whingy performance
Elphick - 7 - cleared everything
Virgo - 7 - same as Elphick
Borrowdale - 6 - looked a bit dodgy at times but excellent at others, wouldn't mind him being back-up to McNulty

Loft - 6 - obviously played out of position, one horrendous free-kick, but tackled and won the ball well
Fraser - 7 - kept winning the ball from tackles which he is meant to do
Dicker - 7 - same as Fraser
Cox - 7 - only got a 7 because of his corner, otherwise a usual quiet Cox performance

Hart - not on long enough, got injured in the warm-up
Owusu - 8 - our best player, won most things in the air, maybe could have scored early in the second-half, only criticism is that he gave away the ball that cost us their second goal

Andrew - 7 - looked good, but a bit slow. Maybe he wasn't fully fit? It says he scored the first-goal (couldn't tell, I thought it was Dicker) but it was a tremendous header
McLeod - 5 - shit corner when we could have won
Davies - 6 - almost made himself an Albion hero with that shot in the last minute, unlucky not to score

Kuipers - 7 - 1 good save, 1 theatrical save, but at fault for goal
Whing - 6 - steady
Virgo - 6 - shaky
Elphick - 7 - did well
Borrowdale - 6 - got done a few times
Cox - 7 - can't argue with two assists, busy
Loft - 7 - decent again, sensible passing, tried to carry the ball forward
Dicker - 7 - improved a lot in the second half
Fraser - 3 - did he do ANYTHING?
Owusu - 6 - poor game but a goal which matters
Hart

Andrew - 6 - missed a SITTER but scored a good goal and almost made another

Michel 8 - two point-winning saves. One of the main reasons we can stay in this division.

Whing 6 - not as good as he has been recently, bit dodgy at the back too.
Elphick 6 - distribution was a disgrace today.
Virgo 6 - average.
Borrowdale 6 - bit shaky against Cadamarteri on occasions.

Loft 7 - very busy, good touches, few sparks of creativity.
Dicker 7 - quietly efficient.
Fraser 10 - for cheerleading. 4 - for the disappearing act otherwise known as football.
Cox 6 - he's been brilliant recently and I didn't think he quite lived up to that today, but still assisted the goals.

Owusu 5 - to be honest, he was shit today. Scored though which is all that matters.
(Hart - not on long enough)/Andrew 6 - slightly better version of Owusu.

agree with most of that but id bump Owusu up to a 6.

I'm a big Lloyd fan so I'm not slagging him off for the sake of it. I just have to admit he wasn't effective today. At all. But not to worry. He still scored which is great and we've seen what he can do in recent weeks. Not sure where RM Taylor is pulling an 8 out of!

Well I'd say that he was our best player today. First-half we did look complete pony but second-half we looked like a good team. I thought Owusu played really well, he won most things in the air and scored - which is all he is asked to do.

I agree with this, apart from the fact that he wasn't our best player because he cost us a goal, he didn't win anything in the air, his passing was poor, he didn't hold the ball up well, and was owned by their centre half.

Thank f*** he scored, because he was shocking otherwise.

Still think we should sign him though!!!

Opinions vary WW. Yes he did cost us a goal, but I believe it was a definite foul on Loft, two-feet in (could have been a red card) but the referee didn't give it. He did win a fair amount of balls that went up to him, laying them of to Andrew, Cox, Fraser etc.

Just wondering, who would you say our best player was today?

kuipers 7 Two very good saves
Whing 7 Dependable and hard working as usual
Elphick 7 Solid
Virgo 6 only cos some of his distrtibution not good but clearly his best position
Barrowdale 7 really like him.
Cox 7 Battled and caused them a few problems
Fraser 6 Always fights
Dicker 7 Very good. Love to sign him for next season
Loft 6 The odd good run but with no real end product but he is playing a full part in our revival. Glad to see him and Fraser being given a chance
Owusu 6 Got into good positions but should have done better on two occasions before he finally scored. Great signing for us though
Andrew 8. My MOM here. Good goal, never stopped running, won a lot of headers and linked up play very well

I listened to the second half on Seagulls world and got the Huddersfield commentary! Their commentators were generally very critical of FDM. Flapping at the ball, punching when he could have caught, not dominating his area.

Kuipers : 6 : Ball watched the first goal but made one great save in 2nd half.
Whing : 6 : Typical Whing performace but lacked quality going forward.
Virgo : 5.5 : Partially at fault for first goal and Booth obviously thought he was the weak link at the back (kept dropping off Elphick for Virgo).
Elphick : 7 : MOM just - no-one stood out or played really badly. Some good blocks and best aerial player in our back four by miles against a team with Delap mark 2.
Borrowdale : 5.5 : Nervous when Fatty Cademateri had him one on one. Frustratingly overhits free kicks in dangerous positions.
Cox : 6 : Outmuscled a lot, not at his best.
Dicker 6.5 : Came into the game when we were 2 -1 down and slade swapped the wings Cox and Loft were on. Strong and committed against a comabtive midfield.
Fraser : 6 : Didn't give away possesion cheaply. Perhaps not the answer in the long term though.
Loft : 5.5 : Like Fraser, another who in the long term is not the answer. Played well enough but missed good first half chance and 2nd half free kick was laughable.
Hart : 6 : We missed him when he went off. In total control for the first 10 minutes or so and he had aready created one for Loft.
Owusu : 6 : Twice had Granny and Knitting moments but scored and was good in the air. Needs more than one foot but not going to get it at his age.

Subs
Andrew : 6 : Played well enough good goal. Set up a great chance for Owusu.
Mcleod : 3 : Please can I never see him again in an Albion shirt. Toilet.
Davies : 5 : If only that 25 yard 'shot' had gone in...

Borrowdale 6- did ok as with whing looked uncomfortable against thier wingers

Dicker 7- Very good again sweeps up really well in the midfield
Loft 7- Very good defencively put some good balls into the box also
