They were worried at first because he had the same sensation as when he had a serious neck injury before. He had an operation before and was worried it was the same injury but thankfully it isn't. Sounded upbeat on SCR.

That's good news. Would have been a shame if that was a serious injury, I didn't get time to abuse him enough.

Our midfield lost a lot of bite when he was subbed.
Up to that point I really believed we were going to win the game.

I am so relieved it isn't serious.

I think Oatway gave us shape, and without him Hammond and Nicolas were a bit all over the place

Funnily enough we did look better when he was on the field.

Is McShane injured ?

McShane had a tightness in the hamstring and was taken off as a precaution.

As for missing Charlie, the change in the game was more them bringing on Magilton and not Charlie going off. Magilton used his experience to drag Hammond out of position and made him less effective.

I thought that too. They were ready to bring him on before Oatway was injured.

Jakey was at Hove dogs tonight. I asked him about Charlie and he said it was a trapped nerve, not nearly as serious as it looked, and that he should be available for Tuesday.

It didn't make much of a difference - if anything, Nicolas was an improvement, his passing was more consistent and he scrapped and tackled as well as Oatway.

Relieved he's okay though; it looked really serious when he was being taken off.
