New Labour.

Domestically I think things are running along smoothly..why change?

You don't have kids at school, or use NHS hospitals, or live in fear of rising violent crime, or resent paying higher taxes for poorer services then ??

You are looking forward to identity cards, detention without trial, millions of £££'s of taxpayers money spent on the YES to European constitution campaign, similarly on EURO membership, further illegal miltary intervention in the Middle East ??

Why change indeed ??

Labour - and hope they'll re-nationalise the railways, power and water companies.

Option one (New Labour but only IF we get Falmer beforehand) won't to be on offer if 5 May is election day.

Thanks to the Lib Dems on Lewes District Council, the resumed Public Inquiry will drag on until the middle of March, making it impossible for the Inspector to submit his report until after the election has been called.

And no major decisions can be announced during an election campaign.

Won't that be a big problem, as i understood that 2 jags was standing down from ODPM after the next election?

Not necessarily.

One. The decision about the stadium is taken with an view to current government policy - whoever the DPM is. Which is good news for us if we want Falmer, cos Falmer 'ticks all the boxes'.

Two. If he is going to stand down, he will do it now. Prescott will probably stand down as DPM at the same time Blair stands down as leader. The Deputy Leader of the Labour Party is ELECTED, not appointed. Labour probably wouldn't bother its arse to go through an election in mid-term.
