Hope we get to play Bournemouth at home sometime so we can give him a decent reception at the Amex.

It helped that his last game for the club was a 3-0 poncing of Southampton, and that he was required to play because we had no other options. He has handled himself extremely well though, and he deserves a lot of credit for that. He looks a promising young player who has moved on for the benefit of his career. Good luck to the guy, it's rare players leave and you genuinely hope they do well, but it's a mark of becoming a better club that our reserves are good first team players for clubs on a lower league. We're the feeders rather than the fed, so to speak.

I hope he does really well at Bournmouth and gains promotion with them, hope he then progresses on to bigger and better in the future. Nice to see someone praise a club they are leaving ....Top bloke!

Absolutely classy send-off. Couldn't possibly have come across better. Never seemed impatient waiting for his chance, played really well when he did play, and then never moaned when he immediately returned back down the pecking order. Bigger headed players would have sounded off after playing so well against Liverpool, only to find them back in the ressies.

A terrific send-off from a player who has been with the club for many years, and he is GUARANTEED a top reception whenever he returns now (unless he does a Nathan Jones in a game against us).

Leon Knight, Dean Hammond, Dan Harding, are you watching, it really wasn't that hard was it. Be grateful, humble, polite and thankful, simples.

Can I also say how refreshing it is to see a player who is so keen to PLAY, rather than take the easy route of training for your wage most of the time, and is prepared to drop a division to do so. Class.

The way he had dealt with this has been matched by the integrity shown by the club in honouring the agreement to see him, depsite the injury problems. The speaks volumes for how the club view him.

In fairness to Hammond though, he didn't want to leave in the end, it was Uncle Dick that pushed him out.

Harding on the other hand is a weasal........

Well he did want to leave, but he wanted to leave at a time of his own choosing. DK wisely cashed in and we got our hands on 250k which we wouldn't otherwise have had if he'd left for nothing in the summer. And this was back in the day when 250k was a lot of money.

But yeah, at least he left saying "I didn't want to go really!"

Dont get me wrong, after Hardings assault on CMS on Monday I have no time for him at all but you cant blame him for leaving us. He was offered £300 a week to stay here or £1100 at Leeds - he did what most young lads would do. I may be wrong but I dont remember him slagging off the club afterwards.

Hammond is slightly different as well, again I don't like him anymore due to his antics after scoring at Withdean, but after all the shit he used to get on here about how glad we were that he had gone and how we wouldn't miss him can you really blame him for ramming it back down our throats?

Plus Harding left us for the club he's supported all his life, don't see why there's so much hatred against him. Hammond on the other hand is a ungrateful wanker.

Steve Cook seems a great, level-headed lad. As I said at the time, hes been a bit unlucky that he plays in one of the positions we seem to be well covered in, but hes been patient despite having ability and when called upon, did a job. I am sure he will do well at Bournemouth and won't be long until he makes the step up to the Championship! Wish him all the best
