Oh Dear....bad laguage but I think he puts he point across very delicately....:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::eek:

That bloke is going to burst a blood vessel lol. I must admit it, it is frustrating getting these cold calls. Last week, in one day I had 4 of them. Two cut off immediately, one of them was because I had a problem with my PC and the other was for a short survery. The ones that cut off immediately actually bloke your phone. What happens if you need to ring 999?

I think what is most annoying about these calls is that there is absolutely no way to stop them. They where foriegn call centres. I have asked time and time again to be removed from their list but they still keep calling. TPS is bollox and is not working.

Even before I get the chance to asked to be removed sometimes they just put the phone down on me. 1471 gives you nothing. When is this government going to start clamping down on these call centres. Why can't it be law that they must provide a return telephone number and if they keep pestering people, or can't provide proof of how they got your number in the first, they get a large fine.

Just answer every question with 'maybe'.........the consequences are sometimes quite spectacular.

Just get caller display and a phone with a memory big enough to store your regular caller numbers. Any that appear unfamiliar, "overseas" or "withheld" ignore, if it is something important they will leave a message. Add them to the blacklist feature on your phone if you want to block them. I can never really understand why these sort of calls appear to cause serious grief to many people

I just ignore them - I was stupid enough whilst on a train late at night in a somewhat "refreshed" state to text one of those numbers. You know - picture of dog with big eyes saying will you donate £3 to feed me for a day blah blah blah and was plagued by bloody charities for weeks and weeks. Anyway I can't block calls on the iphone so just assigned a silent ringtone to it and thankfully they've stopped. At home I just ignore the phone these days - I know that if it is important or it's someone I know they'll leave a message. If I do weaken and pick up the phone I usually end end up telling them to f*** off. Another good tactic is just to repeat "Where did you get this number?" ad infinitum. It's a bit like charity muggers in the street - be as rude as you like to them as they are, frankly, the lowest of the low

Like someone posted above, if I have time then I have fun and let the frustrated actor in me out.

Somebody rang about a Dyson and I went on something like, I've only been in hospital a few day's and my wife has bought a Dyson? Christ, I'll kill her when she get's home..... Same sort of tact over loans where I have major flounce and almost breakdown over this 'loan' Imy Mrs has taken out. Scares the shit out of them!
