I cheered, gave him a standing ovation and then said shouted "he's coming on to ruin the game" and then shouted EYEORE

He came on just as Southport/Stockport/Random Northern monkeys were just about to take a corner.

THPP he yell 'Who's marking Hawkins?'

how funny you are, and the fact that it was aimed at an Albion player makes it even funnier

Exactly.
And yet people seem to enjoy doing it.

Sorry if I'm mad but anyone who wears those blue and white stripes and is committed and wants to fight for the team, I will back 100% no matter what.

To all those who mock him, what exactly are you trying to achieve other than making the poor guy feel like shit? :tosser:

As dull as yours matey, actually not as dull. I was at the Withdean today half a mile from my house in the most vibrant, cosmopolitan and beautiful city in Europe, watching my home town team get thrashed again.

Where were you?

I dont have the need to bore people with every minutia of my life.

I agree with this. I may (and do) think that Hawkins is shit, and it seems it was proved by the events of today. But I will support him whilst he is playing for Brighton and Hove Albion, because I want them to do well.

And just what did you want me to do?! "Hello Brett, I'm the Ninja Elephant from NSC. Just so you know". ???

aha, you confirm you did indeed shout eyeore, which is a donkey noise, is it not? Case, and point. I wasn't having a go anyway... I found it funny. I said as much at the time.

not only did he try running on before the board was up, he tried running on even before the lino had waved for a substitution and the ref had okayed it.

The whole Hawkins saga of last season and now this season reminds me of a side of football and a sign of football crowds I don't really like.
The fact the guy was villified last season for his mistake in the cup against Hartlepool and admittedly a series of other mistakes and then used as a scapegoat for the short comings of the team as a whole made feel a little ashamed.

He's always looks the model pro to me and one player of only a few who actually seemed to give a f*** last season, the fact people can laugh at his nervous early run onto the pitch I feel is pretty shitty. The bloke must have been absolutly bricking it when he was called from the bench, it's no surprise he conceeded the penalty and got sent off some people we're almost willing it to happen.

Poor bastard.

Agreed. I didn't laugh when he tried to come on too early. I just thought it showed how keen he was to get on and fight for the cause. Unfortunately he was just a bit too keen :(
