'Mutual agreement' are just words. Are you suggesting the club said 'goodbye' or did RDZ? If it's a better offer, I guess he needs the money.
Sorry, I'm just f***ed off that he's leaving.
Who knew? :lolol:

I had a little moment of anger for 10 minutes this afternoon, now I'm simply excited to know which lucky b'stard will be getting the job.

and he was honourable enough to prevent his new employer paying his release fee - as was Bloom
Surely it'd be better from our point of view if his new employer did pay his release fee?
One thing I'll say for Potter, at least it was all in line with the contract everybody signed up to and we got a wedge of cash out of it.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
No, f*** him - especially after his comments about how much he loves it here. Yeah, he ( and the players!) got us to Europe, but even making it clear before the last match?
f*** him and f*** the horse he rode in on.
Have you been making marmalade today using some very bitter oranges?

I'm suggesting that the club had already decided to push him regardless - probably because his view of progress and theirs might be different - and they knew he'd been talking to other clubs (which his contract probably allowed him to do just as long as he didn't leave mid-season). Therefore the adults on both side went "Thanks for the great times but we're now going in different directions. Thanks for all the fish.". An amicable divorce you might call it.

Lovely. It's still shit.

The traditional lap of appreciation is going to have a strange feel to it, isn't it?

How much appreciation will you be directing at our departing manager?

Worse case scenario is we have a bad defeat and the atmosphere could be decidedly flat

Somewhat depends on his contract though - something which NOBODY on here knows ( regardless of how ITK they make themselves out to be ). Always makes me laugh when people think they know what individual players are paid - no they don't, they are bullshitting.

Tons of appreciation - he's been great most of the time, the team's been entertaining, we've had the best league position ever - there is so much good there that deserve our praise and thanks!

Did great until January and then patently didn't want to be here. Not sure he will ever amount to much better. All a bit of the Poyet to me. A thank you for last season but all a bit tainted by his attitude in 2024!
