'79 Beating City 4:1 days after thrashing Palace 3:0. "You're worse than Crystal Palace"
'81 4:1 again.
'83 4:0 and the Cup had our name on it.
'21 3:2 lucky to go to the Covid game
'24 3:2 the game that will forever be known as the '4 in a row'.

4-1 at the Goldstone in December 1979, a few days after the Boxing Day mauling of Palace. Gerry Ryan ran the length of the field before scoring at the south end. We put four past City on three occasions during our four seasons in the old first division (twice in the league and once in the FA Cup) so of course we signed their goalkeeper (Joe Corrigan).
I was there.
Hard to believe it was 45 years ago!😳

At least 4. 83 cup run, Withdean, Covid game (decided to buy a ticket last minute as not everyone took up their ballot allocation 😎) and yesterday. Would have to check pre 83.

I was there and can remember yesterdays 2-1 win. Been going since early seventies so probably saw others. Amazed that so many can remember games they went to and even the scores from 40 years ago.

On NSC for over two decades...
Twice, the Keith Cuss and twice taken Curbishly penalty match at the Goldstone, and last night.

I was also at Withdean when we progressed past City on penalties in the League Cup - that match was, of course, a draw!

Not read the thread but the wheelchair invading the pitch is superb. That’s a fan. Withdean of course. I took my young son who got a strop on and refused to watch it( I think I said Ivwasnt going to get him more food)

6. I wish I had the FA Cup 4-nil win on video. MOTD cameras clearly caught a 16 year old me celebrating at least one of the goals close up on the chicken run.

I'm pretty sure I remember them at the Goldstone their fans took the North East stand, whether that's correct and whatever the score was heaven knows!

That's the only one I saw at the ground. Never forgotten Gerry's goal.

Three. The 'Gerry Ryan' game, the 'Keith Cuss' game and the 'Wheelchair on the pitch' game (aka the Cup game at Withdean).

BTW for those that don't know after the Cup win at Withdean there was a pitch invasion, and one of the participants was in a wheelchair! It was before social media, so I'm not sure if any clips exist. I didn't notice it at the time but it was on the TV reports.

I went to YouTube to look for the 1979 4-1 win on there and the AI behind the search bar automatically changed my 'Brighton 4 - 1 Man City' to 'Brighton 1 - 4 Man City' - bastards
