[Misc] How many pairs of shoes do you have?

The reason for the question is

Just now on French TV they were discussing waste and having things you don't need

Now my French wife is always saying how scruffy I am compared with her compatriots

And in this piece on French TV ,apparently the average frenchman has 18 pairs of shoes!

I currently have 3 pairs and a pair of trainers

15 pairs of shoes and sports shoe/trainers plus two pairs of summer sandals an a pair of wellies. Blimey, that's 18 monsieur!

Formal brown, formal black, everyday brown, everyday black, couple of pairs heavy duty waterproof boots, three pairs of trainers, wellies……I’m in to double figures. Have to admit the formals don’t get used often and trainers only come out of the weather is good. Generally I could probably get away with just a couple of pairs. I’m not too heavy on shoes and reluctant to chuck out ones that are still usable. Je ne suis pas Francais.

Doesn’t really feel like particularly a lot of any one thing

2 pairs of shoes, I can’t actually remember the last time I wore them though as I don’t really like shoes, apart from a pair of walking shoes.
I have 15+ pairs of trainers, a few pairs of decent boots if the weather doesn’t suit wearing trainers.
Also got at least 4 pairs of work boots.
1 pair of wellies.

One pair black oxfords, about 12 years old for weddings and funerals.
One pair tan brogues for summer weddings and very occasional smart outings, similar age.
One pair work boots, worn for absolutely everything. Just over a year old but can't be resoled so close to death.
One pair sandals, for when airing my feet and my boots.
