First few post' on the board after reading for a while.
Been to the Oxford game today and reminded me of games at the Goldstone in my first few years of supporting the club. The likes of Pete Smith and Craig Maskell.
We had a poor team with a keeper who was always selected ahead of my favorite Ormerod.
Oxford have the same problem, my mate claiming the best keeper(in his eyes) was not playing. We survived those darker days and came out on the back of a couple of promotions.
Oxford on the other hand went out of the football league today with a 16,000 seater stadium and facilities far superior(i guess) to ours.
Yet we have had the last 4 seasons around championship level with no ground and in turn little resources.
Lets thank Mr Mcghee for the last season, in turn he admits to us he made a few bad decisions (rather then the same old excuses)and lets move forward to a successful season next year.
Mcghee is a proven manager at this level and I believe that he will get as around the play off positions. I have been sitting on the fence over his future but dick and Martin's belief in him to delay a decison makes me realise there is no one avaliable and better to take over.
Few to many GL's may have brought this post on!
So any more pissed blokes up at this time reply. I will not take post after 4am seriously as they have had time to sobber up and analyse my post.
Here's to a succesful winning season in 06-07 season.
