About 2 mins. Could earn more if I commuted to London but cannot be arsed so moved a couple of mins away from my work and save a bunch on travel and time.

How can anyone put up with 2 hours+ travelling to and from work every day?

It's like adding about 25% to your working day (and not getting paid for it)!

I wouldn't work anywhere which involved travelling more than 10 minutes to get there.

If I was offered an unbelieveable job a long way away, I'd move.

two hours there, two hours back if the trains are working. I quite enjoy it. Listen to music, read, sleep - it's all good.

I go from Aldrington to Portsmouth and Southsea every day for Uni.

About an hour and a half generally speaking each way.

38 miles up the M23, M25 and A217 - so about an hour if all good on the roads and considerably more otherwise. Made all the bearable by doing the journey in my new Jag which I reckon is the only one with an Albion shirt in the back window!

For the pay, why else

If a job was so good and offered to pay me so much that I would take it even though it's say 70 miles away, I'd move to be closer.

It would have to be fantastic though, I'd much rather work for less, stay where I am now and be home 5 minutes after finishing work.

Sitting in a car for two hours a day is my idea of hell.

I would never drive, use the train and also would not move either

Used to work in Milbrook (Southhamton) when it was 1 3/4 each way, then changed it to work in Walthamstow which was two hours each way.
but after 20 years it got too much so now work for myself so no commuting thankfully, i don't envy you. But do understand why those that choose to do it.
